TATTOO AFTERCARE

Thank you for choosing to get your tattoo at Electric tiger Tattoo.

Here is a copy of your aftercare. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.

1. Leave the dressing on for at least 12 hours
2. When you remove the dressing, wash the tattooed area well with warm soapy water.
3. Blot dry. Do not rub.
4. Apply a pea sized amount of an antiseptic cream for the first few days. After which switch to a non-perfumed moisturizer 3-4 times daily. (apply sparingly).
5. Allow the area to breathe, but try to keep it out of sunlight at least for the first month. The longer the better.
6. Avoid soaking or swimming until the tattoo is healed.
7. After a few days the surface of the tattoo will slightly scab and flake off. This is normal healing process. It will also itch. Do not pick or scratch. Rub the moisturizer into the tattoo if it itches.
8. Keep the tattoo covered if working in a dirty environment.

Sunlight

If you want the colour of your tattoo to stay bright then sunlight on the area should be avoided for as long as possible. Sunlight can bleach out the colour. 

Too much exposure to the sun will age the tattoo quickly. We recommend you use total sunblock on your tattoo at all times (once healed) when in the sun.
